Rask granted leave of absence; McAvoy confirmed to be recovering from concussion
Earlier today, Bruins GM Don Sweeney announced that goalie Tuukka Rask has been granted a leave of absence to deal with a personal matter (it’s not a health related issue).
Sweeney also confirmed that defenseman Charlie McAvoy has been out with a concussion. Sweeney said that McAvoy is “making progress, but there’s no timeline.”

In other Bruins player injury news, Sweeney said that defenseman Urho Vaakanainen is also still out with a concussion; and defenseman Kevan Miller is about three weeks out from his hand injury.
