Bruins defeat Kings 4-2

Last night, in game #59 of the regular season, the Bruins came away with a 4-2 win over the Los Angeles Kings with goals in the final two minutes of the game, extending their winning streak to five games.

In the first period, at 5:31, Bruins Jake DeBrusk scored his 17th goal of the season, giving the Bruins a 1-0 lead.

In the second period, at 10:37, Kings Ilya Kovalchuk scored a power-play goal, tying the game 1-1. At 16:15, Bruins Brad Marchand scored his 23rd goal of the season, giving the Bruins a 2-1 lead.

In the third period, at 15:37, Kings Alex Iafallo scored, tying the game 2-2. At 18:47, Bruins Charlie McAvoy scored his 3rd goal of the season, giving the Bruins a 3-2 lead. At 19:23, Bruins Patrice Bergeron scored his 21st goal of the season, giving the Bruins a 4-2 lead.

Tuukka Rask played in net for the Bruins and made 23 saves on 25 shots.

The Bruins led the game with a 60% faceoff winning percentage and in blocked shots 17-9. The Kings led the game in shots 25-24 and hits 29-19. The Bruins went 0-for-2 on the power-play while the Kings went 1-for-5.

Patrice Bergeron, David Krejci and Charlie McAvoy led the Bruins with 4 shots each. Noel Acciari led the Bruins with 6 hits. Kevan Miller led the Bruins with 6 blocked shots.

David Backes, John Moore and Steven Kampfer were scratched and did not play.
