Maple Leafs defeat Bruins in overtime
Tonight the Boston Bruins visited the Toronto Maple Leafs and it was a good back and forth game that eventually went to overtime where the Leafs would win it and get closer to the Bruins in the Atlantic Division’s standings.

In the first period, at 5:55, Leafs Morgan Rielly scored, giving the Leafs a 1-0 lead. At 15:44, Leafs Dmytro Timashov scored, giving the Leafs a 2-0 lead. At 19:39, Bruins Jake DeBrusk scored his 1st goal of the season, cutting the Leafs lead to 2-1.
In the third period, at 1:36, Bruins Danton Heinen scored his 2nd goal of the season, a power-play goal, tying the game 2-2. At 2:37, Leafs Alexander Kerfoot scored, giving the Leafs a 3-2 lead. At 15:34, Bruins David Pastrnak scored his 9th goal of the season, tying the game 3-3.
In overtime, at 3:54, Leafs Morgan Rielly scored, winning the game 4-3 for the Leafs.
Bruins goalie Jaroslav Halak played in net and made 25 saves on 29 shots. Halak is now 2-1-1 with a 2.24 GAA and a .931 save percentage this season.
David Krejci, Joakim Nordstrom and Steven Kampfer were scratched for the Bruins and did not play.
