Halak leads Bruins to win over Penguins
Tonight the Boston Bruins hosted the Pittsburgh Penguins and despite giving up a goal only 24 seconds into the game to All-Star Sidney Crosby, Bruins goalie Jaroslav Halak stopped every shot after that to lead the Bruins to a 4-1 win over the Penguins.
The Bruins got goals from: Sean Kuraly (4th goal of the season), Par Lindholm (3rd goal of the season), Patrice Bergeron (20th goal of the season) and Brad Marchand (21st goal of the season, an empty-net goal). There was a spirited fight in the second period between Bruins Torey Krug and Penguins agitator Patric Hornqvist, who never drops the gloves and you can see why in the fight, he’s awful at it.
Bruins goalie Jaroslav Halak made 29 saves on 30 shots. Halak is now 11-5-6 with a 2.42 GAA and a .921 save percentage this season. The Bruins are now 28-9-12 with 68 points and 1st place in the Atlantic Division. The next game for the Bruins is on Sunday, when they visit the Pittsburgh Penguins, at 12:30pm ET.
