Bruins sign Craig Smith, lose Torey Krug
As free agency is here and players are signing with new teams, the Bruins have lost defenseman Torey Krug to the St. Louis Blues as Krug signed a 7-year contract worth $45.5 million with the Blues. Good luck Torey, you will be missed by Bruins fans.
The Bruins have signed veteran forward Craig Smith to a 3-year contract with an annual NHL cap hit of $3.1 million. Smith plays right wing, shoots right, is 6’1″ and 208 lbs, and is 31 years old. Smith has spent his entire career with the Nashville Predators, playing in 661 games, scoring 162 goals and recording 330 points. Last season, Smith scored 18 goals in 69 games.
